At school I use Azurues on a SLAX linux usb drive, I change the port to something that is not blocked (by using snort) and then try to download a torrent and see if it will download, which it doesn't. I get an error that says can not find tracker. Can someone please help

How about you try a different torrent?

Let me pull a rabbit out of my ass as well.
The school network has banned p2p networks, as well as ports they work on. And probably do packet sniffing. If you go to a torrent site to download the torrent. Rename the file and the file will download. And choose a torrent program to open what you renamed it to.. FIle association. And go from there.

what do you mean rename the file? I can download the .torrent file but the download never starts? I have tried multiple torrents and none of them work
edit: ok i re read your post and am going to try it, but will the file still download without the .torrent extension?

yes.
At least you're not as bad as my friend who asked me why his torrent files wouldn't open... he thought they were just 200KB links to copies of a 1.4GB movie stored... god knows where1... and that they could open in his media player.
