Help with Bear Share

Have used bear share for the past two years without a problem. Recently the program started to close down the moment that it opened. I tried deleting old and downloaded and installed new but each I get to the main page it shuts down the moment I type any info.

try uninstalling it again and installing it to a different location. eg. C:\programs\bearshare_new or something like that. Might be a good idea to do a housecall scan for virus activity.

OK apparently my online shopping donation program was interfering (each time we bought something it would donate to special olympics) with the bearshare. I unfortunately removed the shopping program and reinstalled bearshare and everything is running fine except for the ads that constantly pop up.
Is there a non ad bearshare out there??

I think the beta versions are ad free, you might want to check out the Technutopia Forum (its a spinoff of the old Bearshare forum, when Bearshare development shut down)
