WinMX 3.31 released

Yes, the searches seem to be compiling faster and the initial connection time for me is down to 2 seconds flat. Nice job, Frontcode.

It seems like they fixed something the primary connection. cuz i have dsl so i run a primary and it use 2 slow winmx down when switching tabs. its still slow but it seems to be going somewhat faster :hole

Can previous version users still log one the network? I couldn't get on this evening until i switched and my search reseults are alot more lower tonight than this morning with old version.
I hope we're not going through another transition phase when numbers will go down until the great majority decides to upgrade...

v3.31 are, other than quicker searches and faster connections?

Actually the Version 3.31 is an update that fixes minor bugs...just a regular update..

I noticed a bug in version 3.31 that wasn't there in version 3.3. It is this: when you upgrade from version 3.3, even after uninstalling, it adds V: WinMX 3.3 to your wsx list, so that it is still reporting your older version to all of the "opennap" servers. My problem with this is that I don't want any T or V entries in my wsx list, because they are just junk to me. So the way to work around this bug, would be right before upgrading, to export your wsx list. Then after installing version 3.31, clear out what is there and import your old wsx list, and it will have no V entries on it that weren't there before.

Howdy ,

Right now I'm using 3.3 on WinXP Home with 1.7 processor and 256 RDAM . Having to use the Secondary Connection due to Auto Re-Boots when I tried out the Primary Connection three times . Here's some questions I like to ask you good folks could maybe answer before I download WinMx 3.31.

1- Does 3.31 still have problems with re-booting on Primary Connection ?
2- Should I remove 3.3 and then install 3.31 or is it safe to install over the older version 3.3 ?
3- Does NapMX work well with 3.31 ?
4- Can I still use my same user name ?

1. I dunno. Try it.
2. Well, you can install over it, but some users have/had problems doing that so do a clean install. (i.e. take out 3.3 first)
3. Works like a charm.
