Try using regcleaner to delete the registry entry. I don't know the link so try looking for it on google...

use gnucleus not limewire, its pretty and used to be cool but now its riddled with spyware..

this doesn't help you but just a word to the wise......

I agree, try running RegCleaner (http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/programs/RegCleaner.exe) on your system. On the first screen that comes up, select all of the LimeWire keys\values that show up and click Remove Selected. Then click Options -> Registry Cleanup -> OLE Cleaner and select Extra Powerful. Next click Tools - Registry Cleanup and select Do Them All and remove all of the entries that it finds. (It creates backups so if you have any problems (unlikely though) you can restore.)

Also, I might try running OleClean 1.5 (http://www.geocities.com/maurizioferreira/Oleclean15.zip) as well. Then re-install LimeWire and see if that helps.

I just cannot find out what the problem is.
The problem occurs when the installation reaches 91% and says ERROR 1714 older version of Limewire cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group.

Next it says
ERROR 1603-Fatal error during installation.
Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.

Does any one know how i fix this:fire
