View Full Version : Hardware drivers export program?

I'm wondering if anybody knows of some software that will allow me to export all my current hardware drivers IE copy them into a fresh folder so if I ever need them I cant point it to just one folder or when I do a restore, again I could do the same?

I only ask because, like most computers the drivers are bundled on but when I want to sample with different fresh OSs, sorting out all the drivers are a pain.

Thanks, look forward to some replies. :icon_blac

I hear about those drivers management programs, will they do the same things? Are they are any good?

It's ok. Krell sorted me out with a sweet little program so it's all good.

If anyone else wants to backup hardware drivers, Driver Collector 1.2 (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3982) is small and freeware.

I was actually looking for a program like this a few days ago simply because of the number of times I go to someones house and they want me to reinstall windows but they have none of the driver disks. Its a real pain in the ass. I was suprised at the number of programs that will do it.

I agree, this is good information and should not be hidden within the dark dungeons of PM. I'm sure no one expects Krell to send this to every moron that asks, but the name of such a program could prove very useful. I reformat the odd puter for friends and older systems can be a driver nightmare.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I only dug and found Driver Collector so that anyone who had a similar question and used a "search" would have something convenient to just download without having to press Krell for something he probably wansn't going to turn over.

Lets all be happy everyone has a solution.

And I appreciate that, I thought it was obvious, but some people are just never satisfied

If I decide to leak something on a case by case basis, that's my business, and risk
