Anyone else ever seen this or know what it is? I found it about a week ago and freakin' love it! I can't believe I finally got to see this lost movie. Heres the deal:
This is Quentin Tarantino's first movie he ever made and was shot bit by bit over three years, 1984 - 1987. Tarantino and some of his buds made this while he still worked at the Video Archives video store for about 5000 dollars. Its only about 35 minutes though as the last reel was destroyed in a fire and is lost forever and ever. Its actually a comedy and QT's friends report he was on a screw ball comedy jag at the time. There is a scene where (look at avatar!) QT snorts what he thinks is coke that turns out to be itching powder that is just too funny! "I'm in hell! Call 9/11!"
QT says this was basically his film school and its interresting to note that there are a lot of tid bits of this film that carried over into his other films. K-Billy, fucking elvis, Clarence and Micky are just a few examples. (True Romance/Natural Born Killers) Some of the plot was developed into the movie "True Romance".
I do not think there is any sort of copyright on this "student" film as QT uses a few songs in this movie that I know he has no rights too. So seek and maybe you will find it too.
