hello..... can any boady he;p me beacause i have put my old hard drive in my new pc..... so i have more memory and stuff..... but also one of the important factors why i did it is for my massive music collection!!!
heres the problem i installed it anf thenn went into the usuall and clicked on user and i got
" l:// documents and settings\ is not accessible
Access denied "
can any one solve this problem??

Whatever computer you had it in originally had privatised the folder. You can do this in XP via Right Click > Properties > Sharing
What you need to do is put it back in the original computer, disable the "make this folder private" and then put it back in the computer.

i blew my old pc up...(mother board)......? is that it nackard then ?

the other problem it wont even let me move it delete it or any thing .... stuck!!! ...

open (Mycomputer) right click on the drive w/music....select (properties) then click on the (sharing) tab. You understand and you want to share the drive;) this should work, let me know if it doesnt.

hi.....i would try that but..... there are 3 folders alll users(nothing in there) ... guest ( notthing) and user all my stuff...... i can`t bypass that folder. there for i couldn`t get to the music folde !!...... cheers for help..... just hope you/ some one can figure it out beacuase it got me baffled
Ooooo yes its got all of the windows compontents from my old Pc does this help ??

I bought an external usb drive just because this problem arises when you change hard drives out of PC's.
