Symantec: Norton or Corporate?

I am using Norton Systemworks 2006 am amazed at the bloated piece of crap it is.
While most of you would point out it has always been this way, I had thought it manageable until this release.

I have heard Symantec Corporate is good shit but I want to know why.

So my questions are why is Corporate better than the norton family and should I just bugger off and use something else like AVG?

I still use Norton Systemworks but version 2004 and I just use the built in update. I use only a few features of it like the Fast and Safe Cleanup, One Button Checkup, Quick Web Cleanup, Cleansweep in general but no RAM hogging features like NAV or NWP or NIS.

A bit of tweaking in Microsoft Configure will get rid of some unwanted start up apps and make the programs run sweet. I also use the QWC feature to prevent deleting of certain cookies (IE ZP, Oink, Gmail, Photobucket) to withhold multiple logins. Here's my main reason I use it...

corporate is good b/c you don't have to worry about the updates....there's no subscription. Also, it's better on resources than the regular version.

Symantec Corporate is good because it does it's job and nothing else.

It's not bloated like other Norton aps

I agree. I have used symantec ce for quite a while. It is substancially much less of a hog than it's pal norton. The only thing I don't like is it only auto-updates once a week, as do all symantec AV products. Personally I would like AV programs to update everyday, as does AVG and a few others. Symantec CE is good though and it doesn't expire, as mentioned.

norton fails, use anti vir + nod32 + kerio, or kaspersky. Although corporate get's a B-.

I used to use Kaspersky AntiVirus Personal; it is an excellent solution. They update every two hours as opposed to others like Norton that update once a week, and its detection is among the best. The only downside to it would probably be its interface, for it's not as "organized" as other products. Not too many people are framiliar with it, but if you want a good antivirus solution, then give Kaspersky a shot.

On the other hand, I personally don't like Norton. Alot of hackers target it, and it does a poor job managing resources. It does provide good detection and removal, but overall, there are better options available.
