Dear friends,
Earlier I used to use the kazaa 1.7.2 & Kazaa lite v1.7.2 without any problems.
Just a week ago i downloaded the Kazaa v2 and it installs sucessfully. But when i start the program I get the following msg
"you have uninstalled a part of kazaa that is needed to run. Kazaa will quit now so you can re-install it
"you have uninstalled a part of kazaa that is needed to run. Kazaa will quit now so you can re-install it "
Please help me as how do i resolve the problem and use the Kazaa v2. After getting the message I reinstalled the entire kazaa v2 but still the same. Later I downloaded and installed KazaaLite v2 but still I get the same message.

I would try a clean install. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall kazaa(whatever version you find in there) there then try to reinstall kazaa 2.0 from scratch.

do you have an ad-ware remover? if you do and have used it after install. that error message will occur.
IF you do not want the ad-ware then i suggest you click on the K-Lite Help Site link that i have set up below.
uninstall all previous versions of Kazaa
then
download and install Kazaa Lite 2.0
if you have more problems you can post on this thread or pm me for anything! Anything!

Tried every trick that i knew and read on the web but to no avail.
Tried the following:
1. uninstalled Kazaa, Removed all the remaining folders and files manually.
2. Cleaned the registry.
3. Cleaned my entire system with Ad-Aware.
4. Tried to copy a few of CD_Clint.dll files found on the web.
and did a lot more but kazaa simply refuses to start.
Please help me to get rid of this shitty problem
No matter what ever i do i still keep on getting the following message while starting kazaa lite v2
"you have uninstalled a part of kazaa that is needed to run. Kazaa will quit now so you can re-install it"

At the point you're at now, just re-installing KazaaLite v2 should make everything work. (Just don't use Ad-Aware to remove Cydoor as KazaaLITE installs a dummy version of it to trick Kazaa into thinking that it is installed.)
Or try just downloading this copy (http://www.definition-software.com/files/cd_clint.dll) of CD_CLINT.DLL and put it in your C:\Program Files\Kazaa Lite folder and see if that works.

You point out your mistake yourself, you run adaware and remove an essential dll file, use the link Elistas gave you and insert the fake clint.dll as he says and youll be running fine, next time you run adaware just dont delete the clint.dll youve put in the klite or Kazaa folder or even add it to ignore..for your info, this dll file is essential to the imployed spyware aswell, and so, using the fake you disable the spyware (this is only relevant if you use the real kazaa, but the file must be there in klite aswell as either version of the proggy wont work without it as youve noticed)..just wanted to clear things for you.

Dear friends,
I did try that but still it did not work. I duess is something to do with some other dll file and mostly it is MPR.dll which is creating the problem i guess
