Can't find On forums 2 wire + Bitlord = Internet dropping

Okay sooo I moved into a new place and my roommate has a 2wire wireless router and if i try to use bitlord to dl torrents it shuts the wireless router down like 1 time every 5 mins for 20 to 30 secs then it turns back on. black like then blinking orange light then green light again. Can someone tell me whats wrong or link me to a thread ( I looked for maybe 20mins and did not find one)

here some of my info
Program using= Bitlord
OP= Windows xp
isp=Sbc Dsl
wireless card in puter = d-link
wireless router modem thing= 2wire

Let me know If I miss something or you guys need more info.
