okay
what is the best way , one way or the other i guess.
okay how would i go about ripping a album that has been recorded as one long file.
anyone have any thoughts

You know the FIRST thing we're going to ask is . . . did you search the forums, and have you done your own homework?

Now LOOK . . look DOWN at the bottem of the page, "Similar Threads" there are threads there that are already some what matched to your post, start with them, and use the SEARCH function.

You need an audio splitter. Here's what to do...

Go to google, search audio spliiter and remember to use the search function.

I use Easy CD-DA Extractor conversion tool. You can add .cue files that come with the long mp3s and it splits it apart for you.

CDex can also extract partial tracks if you know what times you want to divide the recording at.
