A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector
This lavish holiday set has been called the greatest rock & roll Christmas album of all time. That's an opinion that's tough to argue with when you find yourself immersed in the massive sounds painstakingly crafted by legendary producer Phil Spector. His "wall-of-sound" technique is perfectly suited to the music of the season, as he proves with layer upon layer of piano, sleigh bells, buoyant percussion, and, of course, those legendary Spectorsound harmonies. The Crystals turn their sassy interplay into sheer magic on "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town," The Ronettes stroll sweetly through numbers like "Sleigh Ride," while Darlene Love delivers a real knockout punch with her yearning version of "Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)." Sure to become the soundtrack for your holidays. --David Sprague

:icon_shak - That's too bad. I actually enjoy most of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin's songs on this. Sammy Davis Jr...... well.... those are so-so.
Also have a Brian Setzer christmas album.
You'll have to forgive me if my musical tastes are rather broad.

Not so bad with the music, but I can't stand John Wayne.

I know it may be late....really late but mine would have to be "A Very Kingston Christmas" by The ghost of christmas future" it's a comedy/rap/punk/techno/rock/reggae album me and a buddy did. It's a brand new take on some old classics. We gave them out for christmas presents cause we were broke so no cursing or anything.

I have to say that I am surprisingly impressed by the OC Christmakkah compilation. I bought it for my boyfriend's Christmas party, since we were in charge of the music. The covers are great, Wham!'s "Last Christmas" was done really well by Jimmy Eat World, as well a non-traditional Christmas songs by Low and The Ravonettes. If you're looking for cool indie rock tunes and need to fill that Christmas music criteria, I suggest OC Christmakkuh. (I never thought I'd ever be saying that.)

One of the best x-mas albums, now on cd is the Charlie Brown Christmas Album featuring the music from the original 1965 tv special. I tend to play it once every year, if I remember to find the cd in my vast collection.
