UTorrent issue

Anyone else notice that sometimes when using this client for movies or large videos, once done, the video content is slightly rough and jerky? I've tried downloading the same file using Bit Tornado and didn't run into that problem.

You should always try to download to one drive, then move the file to a different hard drive or defrag before you play media. You might also want to check Task manager to ensure you dont have high CPU usage that contributes to your "jerky" playback.

But how does it explain then that when using Bit tornado, videos are fine...? I think this is maybe U torrent related. Too bad tho, it's a nice little app. I'll give the next version a try I think.

I did some testing and went back to Bit Tornado and downloaded the same file, same torrent and it works fine so I'm assuming the problem does in fact lie with U Torrent. That or U torrent isnt made for PC's that are a bit older such as mine (P3, 700 mhz, 128 megs ram).

Hash both files, if the hash is identical, the files are identical.

Use HashCalc, use the "Tiger" hash. http://www.slavasoft.com/hashcalc/overview.htm

If the hash string for both files is identical, then there is no difference. If the hash is different, submit a bug report detailing the issue with uTorrent.

mabey its not placing the bytes in the rite place or like ur missing chunks. i use it tho and no problem

You should stop downloading files that are in bad taste.
Download winrar files that have a SFV file checker.. To check the file after obtaining... Download DIVX and use the latest updated codec.
