Hey guys!

I'm on a college LAN that detects P2P traffic. And P2P bandwidth is limited to virtually nill. I've tried get around this by using the HTTP Tunnel software, but it sucks. HTTP-Tunnel's free AND paid servers are really really slow!

Do u guys have any free proxy servers that can give at least 10 K/s?????

If not, is there such thing as an FTP Tunnel? What other alternatives are there to disguise P2P traffic?

Help please!

Go to your-freedom.net it's very nice...
But if you are using Windows XP SP2 you'll get in trouble... The guys at :shoot microsoft :green3 screwed up and limited the parallel opening strem to 10.

What do you mean exactly by can't get it to connect. Do you mean that your-freedom.net client can not connect to the server, or that you can not connect with some p2p program trough it? Are you sure you set the p2p program up properly? You need to set proxy settings to 127.0.0.1 port 1080 and choose socks5 as the type.

Does it work with a web browser, in mozilla put the settings above in advanced/proxy/socks.

httpbutthole u should try www.your-freedom.net, its a http-tunnel alternative, before using u have to register, but its free and works good for me

using http-tunnel i am getting nearly the same speeds that i am got while surfing through websites connecting through my isp http proxy, so maybe you've got slow conenction even at port 80 (www)

I cannot get nething to connect, freedom cannot connect to the servers to set itself up and wen i try to set it up with wat information i have about the university network it has no effect. it has been the same problem with every possible program that you can think of, emule, winmx, kazaa, edonkey all of them, none of them will connect on neport.

i have tried everything, even tryin to find out the ports of things that do work but that has no effect on ne p2p program. the firewall i suspect is a packet inspecting program and isnt allowing nething thro, i am prob fightin a loosing battle but there has to b a clever dick out there who can do sumfin to help me!

so to answer ur question is a nutshell, NOTHING IS CONNECTING

PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

Ok. Have you tried to put one of those proxies in the script to you-freedom settings? Open your-freedom and go to proxy tab and put proxy address: wwwcache.plymouth.ac.uk and proxy port: 3128 and see if that helps.

Hi,
Do you still use your-freedom? Do you use it with shareaza?
If so, could you instruct me how to configure shareaza for your-freedom/
