Sirius Satellite Radio Inc., which sells commercial-free music to subscribers of its satellite service, said Thursday that Mercedes-Benz USA agreed to offer Sirius radios as a standard feature in certain car models beginning next year.
Sirius, which last month also extended a deal to supply auto giant DaimlerChrysler Corp., parent of Mercedes-Benz USA, with its radios until September 2012, said Mercedes plans to initially offer Sirius as a standard feature on all 2007 model year SL-Class and CL-Class vehicles, and all AMG and 600 model vehicles.
The luxury car company also plans to make Sirius a standard future on other models down the road.
