I'll start.

When you Move a folder, filled with files and sub-directories, and one of the files are open in a program. what does it do? It moves half of them and displays an error message! You have to pick up the pieces, with duplicate folders in your source and destination. Grrrr.

Having never tried linux and having only used Microsoft I can't make a comparison. Should I try linux? microsoft is really stable with 93% of the net. Is linux better?

when win 9.x was in its hayday, linux was like heaven. it NEVER crashed. but now that xp is out, it doesnt do a whole lot better than xp. the good points of linux are as follows:

-very, very stable
-os comperable to $300+ windows is usually free
-almost everything is open source
-can use it as a server 'out of the box'


and the bad points:
-hard to install things
-small number of programs compared to windows
-usually have to download the isos and burn em


so basicll, you have to decide, is windows working for you? if so, then you prb. dont need linux. in my opinion, ill take xp over any linux distro. but thats just my opinion. if you got some extra space on a HDD, then try it out. see what you think.

Windows (XP) is finally a good product, I can uninstall movie maker and media-player and IE if I don't need them. But I do.
Stop wining and be happy to have something over the CPU and HD - Do an op.sys if need better ...(or sell off and buy a bike)

All in different ways - but I like them. Best things are the bugs, they give experience and makes good for brains. I never take a hammer and boot my PC finally down. I'm happy with GatesWarez...
