More for meeeeeee !
Dont buy "espresso" beans, they taste like motor oil and have less caffeine.
Buy the Breakfast Blend etc, and grind them fresh, I get mine from Costco or Sams in bulk.
Grind for about 20 seconds, but not too fine, and tamp slightly, but dont pack the grind down because as steam passed thru, the coffee expands and tends to block the water vapor.
Add the tar, i mean espresso, to a heated cup with 2 Tbs of honey, then add same amount of near boiling water, and cream if you like.
mmmmmmm gooooooood

Some of the better drive thrus here, (and we have TONS of them) get their beans from a roaster in CA. In fact, there was some actress, maybe Denise Richards, i forget, who parents have a successful chain of coffee booths and sell beans.
Expensive, yes, but cheaper than crack, more enjoyable that B.C., Goodies, and Excedrin.

Solving the mystery of the elusive "short" cappuccino.
Here's a little secret that Starbucks doesn't want you to know: They will serve you a better, stronger cappuccino if you want one, and they will charge you less for it. Ask for it in any Starbucks and the barista will comply without batting an eye. The puzzle is to work out why.
The drink in question is the elusive "short cappuccino"—at 8 ounces, a third smaller than the smallest size on the official menu, the "tall," and dwarfed by what Starbucks calls the "customer-preferred" size, the "Venti," which weighs in at 20 ounces and more than 200 calories before you add the sugar.
The short cappuccino has the same amount of espresso as the 12-ounce tall, meaning a bolder coffee taste, and also a better one. The World Barista Championship rules, for example, define a traditional cappuccino as a "five- to six-ounce beverage." This is also the size of cappuccino served by many continental cafés. Within reason, the shorter the cappuccino, the better.

In rare flop, Starbucks scraps chocolate drink
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Starbucks Corp. (Nasdaq:SBUX - news) on Friday said it would stop selling Chantico, a rich chocolate drink introduced with much fanfare last year, because it was not adaptable to different customer tastes.
In a rare flop for the fast-growing No. 1 coffee shop chain, Chantico was pulled from Starbucks' menu in January, a year after its introduction, spokesman Alan Hilowitz said.
Described as "a drinkable dessert," Chantico resembled the thick, sweet hot chocolate found in European cafes but was only available without any variations in a 6-ounce size.

I am a computer nerd that spoends hours and sometimes days staring into computer screens and troubleshooting hardware and software problems. so needless to say i like my coffee strong enough to stand a spoon in...lol a triple shot of espresso mixed in with irish creme is my favorite but i will never turn down a chocolate mint with triple espresso as well.
But thats me and if you ever had the chance to meet me, the bags under my eyes alone might be enough to make you never want to see another drop of coffee in your life.....lol
have a nice one.
