I know a friend who recently downloaded Limewire, downloaded close to 100 songs, then uninstalled it. Problem is he uninstalled it with songs still in the library (they refused to be erased). Can people still upload songs in his name even though he uninstalled Lime wire? Also, do you think there is a good chance of him getting caught? (he is VERY VERY worried he will get caught. He is so worried he literally threw up).
Thanks.

Get ready to puke again. The RIAA probably have full access to your computer by now, you obviously were not aware of the security risk. If i can see your i.p. then the RIAA can, they probably have their lawyers on to you already.

BTW, do not make five threads simultaneously on the one topic. Show some patience!!!!!!!!!!!

The RIAA and MPAA already has your number so you better run with your pc and throw it to the shredder.

These guys are tormenting you. You wont get in any trouble or caught. Its halloween, so the scare tactic is on. Uninstalling anything wont do any good or any bad. You should never of installed limewire since the network itself is terrible. Since you have the songs, might as well enjoy them. Unless their all RIAA spoofed songs with screeches in them.

FINALLY youre catching on!! YES you need a new PC right away, get rid of that old one pronto.

You cant let them touch each other

wrap the old one on plastic, like a garbage bag, and put tape on it

carefully hide it in the garbage disguised as some rectangular garbage, in case the RIAA are video taping you house, maybe they will just think your cat died

Get a new ISP too, preferably under a false name (you can disguise your voice with an empty soup can)

be sure to name your new computer something completely different to, so its not the same on the networks anywhere, pick something unique like GaylordFocker

theyre probably tapping your fone too, so be careful what you say!

OK, Im not sure if your serious or not but dont worry at all. Your more likely to get hit my lightning during an Earthquake as you win the Lotto than the RIAA finding you out.

If you are rid of the program and do not have the files shared under another program no one will know you have them except you

i deleted all the songs off everywhere i could find it in my computer because i felt so guilty.
so no one can upload my songs and get me caught by the riaa? even though i lef them there and have no idea how to access them again (since i uninstalled limewire). btw, what do you mean by uninstalling it didnt do anything good or bad?
also, even if i downloaded fake files with tracers i wont get caught?

thanks SOOOO much. i know i posted alot of threads but i am so worried.

RIAA lawsuits are as effective as the relief effort in new orleans.

Hows that going down south I just assumed it eventually worked out. But who knows maybe the media just lost interest.

the main thing is: there were about 10 songs that refused to be erased. so i uninstalled limewire pronto with the songs still there (it said it was being in use or something). im deathly afraid people will be able to upload them still even though ive uninstalled Limewire. plus i can't go back and check since ive uninstalled it.

THANKS SOOOO much for the help. and i can understand why some people are frustrated with me. sorry.
