what do you guys think is the best P2P out there to download for music and movies or what not. ive been recently having a lot of problems with Ares which i thought was a great program...now i see that im not the only one experiencing the same problems, so what do you guys recommend i should use instead. btw, im not a huge fan of Morpheus, iMesh or Kazzaa...been there and done that...i was actually thinking that WinMX is prolly the best out there? would i be right? what do you guys think?

winmx is dead.

I would say your best bet for traditional P2P might be shareaza. it seems to work a lot better than it used to now.

Also you may want to check out the other 2000 threads out there. How do you come here and assume that no one has ever asked that question?

Absolutely about shareaza. Check out the shareaza forums and the first sticky thread listed. I'm too tired to post a link. Im off. Megaman, it's all yours.

For something similar to Winmx try one of the many programs on Gnuttela network such as Bearshare or Frostwire. Ares is also a growing community which really is a replica of the old kazaa. For movies Bittorrent or Emule is a must. Newsgroups can also be a great source. It's really preference.

from my limited experience Shareaza is my fav. I've had some good experiences with limewire as well.

BTW what is shareaza plus?

Morpheus was good before all the trouble started some years back.....

All what you do keep away from Grokster. Grokster takes over your computer and it takes months to remove vestiges of it. The only thing that's left for Grokster to take over is you. I've travelled this path before...

Read this (http://www.zeropaid.com/news/6184/Beginner%27s+guide+to+BitTorrent+downloading/) guide and use the search function next time before you post questions like that.

Kazaa is the most popular file sharing software and is popular amonnt internet users. However the fastest your internet speed is, the faster it will download. I believe that is the case.

eMule is still my favorite despite the Razorback 2 server shutdown. (Use the KAD peer-to-peer network feature if you don't want to risk using fake servers.)

I recently tried the latest Limewire ... haven't use it in awhile, but I was impressed. Songs downloaded very quickly, but movies and other stuff were most limited or fake.
