Go to http://www.e-lunatic.com/start.html and find for ACDC Powerpack (for free there). You'll be surprised how many other apps too are given away at no money.... ;-)

Capture Professional v5 can be found there too...

I use Corel Capture v9, it's more simple to use - Just seek for CorelDraw 9 or 10 at Bearshare or e2k (eDonkey or Overnet) and D/L it.

doesn't the trusty old windows clipboard work in XP?

just press print screen on your keyboard and you got a snapshot in your clipboard... then, you can paste & work on it in any graphics tool (photoshop, paintshop...)

Press your printscreen button, then paste into any graphics prog (if you do not have one use MS Paint) hey presto a windows snapshot you can upload onto the web.

If you want control over snapshot size and window selection, use Capture (http://www.nestsoft.com/capture.zip)

All you have to do is unzip the .exe and use it!
No more "printscreen"... "paste into image app"

this things old (January 11, 1998) but useful, he he

there's also an even simpler looking program at hernansoft.com called Captura (very similar name huh?)
but you have to install it and all

download Captura (http://www.hernansoft.com/downloads_en.html)

by pressing *ALT & Print Screen* together
it takes a snapshot of the active window (just the program)

open windows paint
hit edit / paste
