Anyone ever hear of an awesome band from the 80's, early 90's called Kix? They are a hard rockin band from the Pennsylvania/Maryland area. You can check em out via an all Kix radio stream on my website.... http://bleedthroughmusic.kicks-ass.net...

I saw Kix last year on 9-11 and this year on 9-17 in Hagerstown, MD... both times were kick ass!

That is really touching what you wrote about your son. Gave me this shivering feeling as I was reading it. I love kids (have two and one on the way) and can not even begin to imagine the array of what u must feel. My son on the way is due at the end of this month and things between his mom and I arent good at all (we havent been together through the pregnancy) and she is moving to North Carolina from WV so that is really hard to deal with knowing I will have a son 6hrs away.

Sorry for your great loss.

On this past 9/24, they actually played "Dont' Close Your Eyes" on Headbanger's Ball. I must say it brought back some memories. I was in the Army in Co. Springs when it was popular. While my fixation with Kix has pretty much faded, I discovered that I still have a Midnight Dynamite cassette in my truck. While doing my review for BeatKing, I did find the following site...

They were good at the time. Have not heard anything of Steve's new(er) band Funny Money.

All you can do is just be there as much as you can for them and never take him for granted or miss a chance to see him. Kids later will understand, but they will know true fatherly love =)

Steve Whitemans new band Funny Money is doing pretty good. They are popular locally here in the PA/MD/WV region. Funny Money also has the drummer from Kix, Jimmy Chalfant and when you see Funny Money you get a mini-Kix show to.. Kix has been doing reunion shows for the past 2-3 years in MD and PA. They still kick ass. Thatz awesome they played Kix on Headbangers ball.

And Shawners thatz some good advice. I wont ever give up on any of my kids no matter what the circumstance.

That was the time musicians cared.. I remember all these bands went to autograph signings and appeard at guitar shops, record shops and did a quick set of songs.. Actually did stuff to sell cd's.
