Security experts at Symantec Corp. say they have found the first Trojan virus that targets Sony Playstation Portable systems. Trojan.PSPBrick has been rated Symantec's lowest threat rating — Category 1 on a scale of five. There are no confirmed infections, Symantec added. Sony protected its PSP device by making sure that users can play only Sony-approved games, but there is a number of hacks on the Web that allow users to run other games. Trojan.PSPBrick pretends to be such a hack. The user must choose to download it (hence it is a Trojan). Once installed, it deletes system files and renders the machine inoperable. Symantec said it has been expecting threats targeting non-traditional devices for some time, and expects to see more in the future.

This trojan virus just sounds cruel to me...glad i never bought into the whole portable system thing..Yeah, i had the "Tigers" little handheld gaming things YEARS ago going everywhere with "Bo Jackson Football/Baseball <--Remember that?...But i'd rather play BF2 on the PC..They make that portable then we'll talk.

P2P is a concept that has nothing to do with playing shitty nintendo games on a 300 dollar portable game system

This is just cruel...And even stupid...Who would spend their hours making a trojan for a portable gaming console? Hacking so you can play non-approved games is one thing, but just for shits and giggles when you won't even get to see most of the damage? If I wrote a virus, I would want to see it work some magic, not just turn a screen blank or something stupid.
And as far as that 'n00b' thing, everyone is a n00b to the PSP right now. ITS NEW! And even if you DO know a lot about it, who cares? As long as there are n00bs, there will be zeropaid and its members. If there were no n00bs, I would be out of a job and so would most of the others. Don''t complain.

Shitty nintendo games? Ha, if you know anything about gaming youd know super nintendo games such as mario, chrono trigger, donkey kong, and street fighter layed the foundation for future games. On top of that they are classics and although they do not have the best graphics they are some of the best games of their type. And as far as the person saying everyone who has the psp is a n00b is an idiot. If everyone who used the psp was a noob then there would be no free psp games, no super nintedno, nintendo, dreamcast, ps1, mame, atari, sega genesis, game boy, game boy advanced, and games for other systems as well as an entire other motley of nifty programs such as calculators. On top of that these same "n00bs" cracked the PSP 2.0 firmware and were able to succesfully downgrade to 1.5. Considering all these achievements to be n00bish is asinine to say especially since all this was done in a matter of a few months. Instead of discrediting good works and things you know nothing about do a little research. And by the way Ill disregard this thread considering every in this thread doesen't even have a PSP.....

I don't think moneoa was forcing his opinion like yourself. He is simply saying why play games with graphics like the nintendo on the psp, when the psp can handle so much more. And secondly, his point being that everyone is a noob with the psp if partially correct considering only the amount of time the system has been out, which as we know isn't very long.

Moneoa has his point of view and I respect his opinion. However Sorevexed make a blanket statement and a blatant stereotype which was not justified nore correct. And instead of laughing at all the people who bricked their psp you should feel sorry because hey, we were once all noobs at some time.

Yes but p2p has the same fenemenon as its mostly constructed by noobs who dont know what they are dooing downloading lower quality copies then what is currently on the market. Ya there are alot of people on p2p that share good quality stuff and know what they are dooing. The reality of it all is that many dont even know how to create a folder in windows.
