hi there,

I recently downloaded dbPowerAmp and was happily ignoring the 30day reminder that my Power pack was about to expire, whilst ripping my Cd collection to my mp3 player, reassured all the while by this in the help file:

"Put into a nut shell - if you wish to pay nothing, ignore the 30 day registration reminder and all that will happen is the mp3 encoder & Power Pack enhancements will deactivate. You will still be able to Rip CDs and convert files to any other format (WMA, Ogg Vorbis, etc). "

However, now that its has run out, whenever i try to rip or convert anything to mp3 lame, it says it is unable to open the compression codec or something. I looked in the help files but i can't tell why it isn't working anymore.

I don't understand any of this technical stuff to be honest, would some kindly soul help me out?

Cheers

Hey! There is a reactivator program which I couldn't find the download link to but I will attach it up. It's an .exe file but if your just a little sceptical, feel free to scan it but I assure you it's virus/spyware free. I wouldn't even chance getting banned here. It's too good. Any, its reactivates it for you for another 30 days but it can be only used once per computer. Enjoy!

and thanks for that too, i'll fall back on that if i can't find a way to use it for free after 30 days.

is it simply a matter of installing new codecs or something? i thought i already had done this for a diferent program - does this make a difference?

ok, thanks again people.

so, if the only way to reactivate it is for 30 days, and you can't do it again, what do you do after that?
Is it that i need to get some codec or something?
dbpoweramp site says you can carry on using it without the power pack, but i just can't?
