ITUNES doesnt detect IPOD
Hi People,

I have purchased my first IPod today. Its a 2 GB nano.
As per the steps for transferring music on IPOD are provided. The I Tunes is supposed to recognise whenever i attach my iPod & transfer all files to the IPOD .
The challenge that i encounter here is .
The Itunes does not recognise IPOD. (it does not have the IPOD icon in ITUNES on the left hand side to drag and drop songs)
I have tried to reset the IPOD, Reinstall ITUNES under a new profile but no go.
I connect the ITUNES at the back of my computer thru a USB 2.0
I have tried using this IPOD on a friends machine and the IPOD has worked like its supposed to.
Please help me with this issue.
I have so far tried to reset the IPOD with no success.

My Computer specs are.
OS = Win2k
Processor = P3 700 mhz
USB = 2.0
RAM = 128
HDD = 40 gb with enough free space.

Please let me know if you need any other info.
I need the IPOD working so I can start enjoying music.

I believe I heard that there were detection problems with the nano's. I imagine a fix is on the way. Hopefully someone here knows more than I do. On a side not I love the irony of that.

If all else fails use winamp with the iPod plugin. Drag and drop is very easy with it and I think it's actually quicker.
