I have an albumwrap file with two successive track that are supposed to go together. In other words, the first track is an intro to the second and there should be no gap between them. Yet, they are seperated into two tracks within the albumwrap file. I need to know how to put these two tracks back together so that I cannot hear the splice. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You'll probably need to convert your MP3 to wav first for editing. Maybe there are programmes which edit MP3 directly, but I've not used them. There are a lot of programmes which edit wav files. My favourite is CoolEditPro as it has a lot of features not found on simpler programmes. But you could probably do simple editing with Feurio, WinOnCD, EZCDCreator, and a host of others.

MP3 TrackMaker will do this. You can find it on www.download.com
1.5 is shareware, all older versions are free.
I have 1.3 if you need it.

When you burn them to CD you could leave a 0 second gap.

I think CoolEdit Pro decodes the MP3 to WAV, edits it, then re-encodes to MP3. This will hurt sound quality in the long run.
I suggest using mp3DirectCut (http://www.rz.uni-frankfurt.de/~pesch/). Not the greatest UI in the world, but it works. You should be able to splice the two MP3s together, but I've never tried that before.

I have tried mp3TrackMaker, but can still hear the splice in the output file. How can this be done with Cool edit pro? I'm not very familiar with all of the options.

first unwrap the file.
go to albumwraps website and get the free unwrapping application. Open your file and it will give you seperate files of all the tunes.
Now listen to the 2 files in question. Perhaps they left a empty space in either one or both files, so you would need mp3trim(freeware) to cut off a few frames.
Make copies of the files in case you mess up.
Then when you burn the file it will come out like you wanted.
It might take some learning, but this learning will serve you well for future glitches that do occur.
