Between the opennap servers and the chat rooms still operating, not to mention people working on a new PNP cache, the program is still going.

There are still plenty of options. Gnutella will never be able to be shut down, BitTorrent as well.

i remember this same feeling when audiogalaxy went offline it was such a awesome program/ network same goes for winmx but as others have said there are better days ahead there are many other networks out there that could never be shut down look at it on the positive if ya can because this does suck its still a loss for the community. r.i.p

I think like any p2p program, it'll take some adjusting. I remember when Kazaa Lite was shut down (I was a hardcore user), I thought I might have to go legit ;) - but, I took some time to play around, and I realized that there are much better apps out there. Honestly, I'd say just forget about WinMX, and concentrate on moving onto other, working apps.

Either that, or just go crazy and start killing everyone - either way, really :P

I dont know if its a good or bad thing to keep winmx running. I say just start moving to newer platforms to help them improve. Maybe we can eventually get a decent annonymous system going.

Dude, wake up and smell the dogsh*t....Bit Torrent is going legit. and even if you could use it afterwards, I would rather stick with a program that did not sell out like they were scared....its all about money and politics. Choose your side.
