View Full Version : Filesharing problem :(

Please excuse my post if it sounds convoluted, but here goes.

I have been using Kazaa for about 3 weeks, sharing 900+ files (a large majority video game roms). I update today to 2.0, and get a "file write error" message (this error also gives me a "not sharing any files" message at the bottom right of the screen). After messing around and sharing and unsharing several files and folders, the culprit is the folder that contains the roms.

Now, it's not that big of a deal that I'm not sharing these files anymore. I'm going to zip them all anyway when I get the time. I just want to know what causes this?

Anyway, I may be just a little piss-ant 56k'er with a tiny 10gb hardrive, but I share, and I like to share, and it's aggrivating me that there's something that I want to share, and I can't.

I guess this is more of a rant than anything at my aggrivation. Sorry for forcing you all to sit through this.

"After messing around and sharing and unsharing several files and folders, the culprit is the folder that contains the roms."

Do you mean when you don't share the roms it shows you as sharing files? If that's the case, zip them and then share them. I think that should work.

Yep, that's exactly what I meant.

I'm going to zip them tonight. Thanks for your quick response.

Uninstall Kazaa an download Kazaa Lite
ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/mpex/windows/kazaa_lite_200_english.exe

An install that. Same program less the spyware,ad's, an other trash.

If you need an audio or video codec download this as well.
