I apologize if these are easy questions. I looked for the answers, and have had trouble tracking down the info.
I understand that if someone looks to download a file via bittorrent and contacts the tracker for that file, the tracker will randomly select from a list of IP addresses in its log for the file and provide them. How long does a given IP address typically stay in that log and continue to be given out? In other words, if you use a bittorrent client to download a file or even get queued up to download that file, how long does your IP address continue to be given out?
Also, what other information is publicly available from a tracker (e.g. how much of a file was downloaded/uploaded), and how long does this information typically stay available from the tracker?
