:bling i'd like some advice as to what sort of program to d/l. the things that i'd like and look for are:
dial-up modem friendly (something that will d/l as fast as possible give the situation) 56k
somewhere i'll be able to find "rare" files so to speak, not interested in getting massive pop music results unless i decided to look for them specifically
easy to use interface
i'd also like to have lots of search results, so perhaps a program that will search other programs as well
something clean and free of spyware, adware, and all that other bullshit that fucks w/ur computer eventually
i've used morpheus in the past, gnucleus, and the clean grokster once it was around. i really liked morpheus' easy to use interface, it's ability to d/l vids and it's search because i had a choice to search by artist, song title, album title...i was also able to see other people's d/l libraries if i saw that most of the files found by the search were by one single user. i did not like gnucleus, it was confusing to me and i felt like i had to understand programming in order to really take advantage of it :upside...the search sucked for me because i wasn't able to find many many of the mp3's that i searched for and i believe that was because of the lack of popularity compared to morpheus per se. i was really starting to luv my grokster, but my comp. crashed. what i liked about grokster was the look alike morpheus interface and search, i like the fact that grokster also searched files from kazaa just so that i would get more results, and the fact that i got the 1.6 clean version made me happy:gj. i search for mostly mp3's and music vids, that's what i live for lol, please please please i'm asking people who are wise beyond their years now and full of past music sharing program experience to give me their oppinions on what would best suit me. kazaa and kazaa lite do not convince me, neither does winmx and such :mellow
you could always e-mail me:Wendy (wckdlov7@yahoo.com)
