Here i am again doing something i hate doing. Looking for a new file sharing program. Right now on my computer i have, Xolox, WinMx, Blubster and Audiognome. It used to be so much fun to go to napster in the old days for so many reasons but one of the coolest things about it was that any song you entered would be found. I don't remember any request coming up empty no matter how unusual it was and believe me i don't go for the mainstream.
Fast forward to now (unfortunately) in the file sharing world. If your looking for Nelly, Brittney Spears, or any of the latest dance or hip hop garbage you will probably have no problem with any FTP. But if your looking for actual music (yeah I know start getting mad) some of these sites don't know anything unless its on MTV or in the top twenty on Billboard.
The closest thing to Napster was Audiogalaxy. They had just about everything also and had a database of mp3's that wasn't just for 16 year olds. Xolox gives me nothing, same with Blubster, WinMx is hard to connect to servers. Audiognome is my old standby and delivers at least some of the time. Most people seem to be happy with FTP's that work well on their computer without much concern for content where I have no use for them unless they return a lot of results no matter how unusual or unmainstream my request is. Thats what i want. A FTP that has a ton of users and a really really great diversity of files whether i want live stuff, old stuff, bootlegs, imports, whatever. Anybody that has a computer full of hard to find files that they found on Napster or Audiogalaxy might know what i'm talking about. Anybody that knows a FTP closest to what i'm looking for can you help me out? Thanks.
