help picking a filesharing program

I have been using SoulSeek for a long time and have become accustomed to getting entire albums. However, SoulSeek will not work on this computer any more and cannot be repaired. Is there any other program that can do this, and has no adware or spyware?

it's not working because of windows service pack 2 i beleive, but i'm not sure. But it might be because my school blocks it. I just moved into my dorm and had to install their software which includes all the windows service packs.

Soulseek downloads simply stay in "Initializing", and other stuff seems to work wierdly, mostly things that have to do with connectivity.

At www.slsknet.org the answer seems to be that something needs to be patched in my computer, but the site they link is down or something.

So let's just assume it can't be fixed?

now i'm really confused. a new download just worked properly.

but searches still seem to return a miniscule fraction of what they really should, and the browse user's files function isn't working. and the rest of my pending downloads are still stuck.

Could it be because your dorm has a firewall on campus?

i don't think so, because i'm able to direct-connect in AIM and bearshare lite works fine

na not really its sopose to protect agaist worms but as long as you have a anti virus or what not you will be fine.

k i installed it. what do i do if i want to unpatch at some point

run it again and change it back to 10 thats it.

for albums i use revconnect
