What programs have you tried to get rid of it? Are they updated?

Try Lavasoft's Ad-Aware.

Click here to open download page. (http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5)

Update it. Run it. Get rid of tons of stuff.

What was the last thing you did before your computer went ad-crazy?

Go to run, type mscongig, and give us a screenshot of the processes running. That should give us a clue as to what is going on. Also what operating system are you running, and do you have all updates?

turn off your MS Windows Messenger, the pop-ups are probably exploiting this program

At least with XP you can always do a restore.

Not with some of this shit, as to clean some nasties up you have to disable restore.

For the most part you can always choose a previous restore point before the shit happened, restore, then disable restore, reboot, and the shit hidden in the restore files is gone.
