I am wondering what people use nowadays for combating spyware. Do people still use Ad-aware? What is considered the best tools these days? What are you using?
Myself, I am using Spy Sweeper, Spybot, Spyware Blaster. Is this adequate? Do I need more or are there better tools than these? Opinions please....?

Interesting...I am surprised people still use M$ antispy, since revealing they had purchased Claria/Gator. It was mentioned that they would not include Claria in their definitions. I can't say for sure if that is true, but just the thought of them buying Claria makes me suspicious.

I use Regscrub XP, it's freeware and hasn't steered me wrong. It even has a miscellaneous section for tricks and tweaks that change some annoying XP habits. It's lightweight too at 579Kb.

Installing the proper software, you will never need spyblaster and any others. Download .torrent files/ TRUSTED freeware programs/Programs that are from a p2p app that have prevously been scanned with anti virus, and of course change your I.E. browser.
