Hiya, I'm having some problems with my Azureus client, when I test the port (6881 to 6889 // 16881) all it does is say "Testing port x ... Unable to test (invalid port given, or test service failed)" I've forwarded ports 6881 to 6999. Also the port can't be invalid so what gives?

Is the test service Azureus's fault, should I reinstall ? Or is it my side, how can I fix if possible?

Don't really want to switch but if its nessessary. :,(

Since the test isn't working properly, I'm stuck with the blasted yellow face, and not getting full possible speed. :@

Thanks for anyhelp! :icon_thum

I had the exact same error this morning, but my blasted smilie face is still green. All is well with my speeds too. What caused the test error, I don't know. It is a coincidence I saw that error this morning though. Could it be Azureus?

Most likely a temporary problem, or glitch. If your getting your smiley and your speeds are ok then your away.

Unable to test (invalid port given, or test service failed)
I am still getting this error, but my seeding torrents are a healthy green. I think the key word is "test service failed". It's working fine for me otherwise.

It sounds like you may not have configured your router properly. Hopefully their test service will resolve itself.

Ah, it seems some of you guys are having this issue too. But my speeds are pretty bad.

Maybe it's my router IP? It looks something like this,

Application : Azurues
Start : 6881
End: 6999
Protocol: TCP
Ip Adress : 192.168.1.[1 ]
Enabled: Yes

Now notice the IP adress, at default the number in the box was at 0, but I changed it to 1. But currently my IP is at 192.168.1.101, would I need to change the IP adress to .101 ? I thought just having it at .1 would mean anything at .1xx would work.

Same shit is happening to me but my speeds and the smiley face are green. Do all you have a wireless router or on a router of some type?

I've seen the same error but first of all you can't run the azureus test when you already have azureus running either in the foreground or that thread that seems to keep running even after the damn things been shutdown for hours. Second no other program can be using the same ports. Third all firewalls and NAT's must be previously programmed for its use.

If none of the previous steps work then try the tried and true solution of shutting down your computer and reboot. And of course always use the most current stable version of both the Java runtime and the Azureus program.

Whatever you set in your router, that's what your IP address needs to be on your PC. (manual)

If you let it do DHCP, and you only have 1 pc, then its a no brainer, you'll always get the same IP address . . 192.168.10.1 etc

Just make sure they MATCH
