There is no iTunes for Windows :-/, but there is an iTunes skin for QCD Player! It looks damn good, and QCD Player is one of the best audio players i've tried (equal or better to WinAmp). Check it out!

whiff I totally agree about Windows Media Player 9, but have to point out that CD burning was already in the version 8 of the program that was bundled with Windows XP OS.

ok, well i tried that music collectorz plug in, and it either sucked or i didnt know how to use it. so if someone could reply with an alternative QCD plug in for a media library or a itunes skin for winamp 3, that would be sweet

there are no worthwhile replacements or clones of itunes. itunes just has way to much functionality...

sorry, windows just sucks in the areas of integrated, worthwhile digital apps... wmp? HA. get winamp. and image preview/paint and windows movie maker. arg. you wish guys

really, u dont like winamp. i like winamp and QCD. the only thing QCD needs is a media library like in Winamp 3. and all winamp 3 needs is an iTunes skin

Sorry so can't agree with u on Winamp. It is so buggy, especially version 3. Windows Media Player 9 Beta Series is much better.

Windows media player 9 is going to feature a Digital Rights Managment system: because of this im not going to use it and just stick with version 6: wich is stil the best.

Yes you are correct about CD burning being in WMP8, but it wasn't as good. It wouldn't burn MP3s to CD, which the 9 Series now does, and it opened the separate Adaptec popup window - now the Adaptec/Roxio ASPI layer is much better integrated. Everyone's up in arms about DRM in WMP, but I say who cares. I run a Windows PC with XP to do mainstream stuff, and maintain a Mac and an old Win2000 box that are basically spyware and DRM free.

Whiff u must have been using a different WMP8 than me, lol, cause the one Featured in WMP9 beta series is very similar, I never had a Adaptec plug-in or any of that shit, and I could burn mp3 files to CD.

This is an old thread but what the hell...

Winamp 2.x (and even 3) are not HALF as buggy as WMP 9. WMP 9 is a huge resource hog, the quality of most media I have played on it was TERRIBLE, and let's not forget about DRM.

I'll stick with Winamp.

I'm gettin' a new computer soon, and I'm not sure whether I want a PC or a Mac. iTunes sounds pretty cool, and I like the Mac OS (just tried it at CompUSA - I don't know why more people don't buy Macs!) Anyway, I was wondering if there is any reason NOT to get a Mac? I would still be able to use this PC, by the way, so I woudn't have to give up XP totally... Any advice would be helpful!

itunes for windows would really help to convert some people to apple.
