Colin MacDonald just wanted tickets to the Rolling Stones show in Toronto. Instead, he ended up on stage right before the legendary group.

"I usually try to stay cool about this stuff. But when it's the Rolling Stones it doesn't matter. You just go crazy," said MacDonald, singer/guitarist for the Trews.

The young band from Nova Scotia opened for the old rockers from Britain Wednesday night at a small nightclub in Toronto.

The Stones have played several intimate, last-minute shows in Toronto before embarking on major tours. There have been three in the last 11 years.

So when MacDonald heard the rumours about another secret Stones show, he called his manager about getting tickets for all four members of the Trews.

The band's manager called back two days later to say the band was the opening act.

"I started screaming like a school girl," said MacDonald, a big Rolling Stones fan.
