I recently downloaded a game from bittorrent. When i go to install the game it doesn't work i know the game is completely there, because it goes to the installing screen. but then when i restart my computer then it will start the actual loading but will not finish because i restarted the computer. how do i get this to load?? thanks
the game says it's an iso and i have extracted all files from it.

Don't extract the files. Either...
1) Mount the image on a virtual drive and install it from there
2) Burn the ISO to a CD and install it from there.
I would suggest using Alcohol 120% I www.alcohol-software.com I

nero burns iso's fine, and if its something worth keeping you might as well burn it to cd

If it's over 700Mb, you use a DVD, if it's under 700Mb use a CD. In your case I'm guessing you have to use a DVD. It can be time consuming so I would suggest creating a virtual drive (which is done automatically with Alcohol 120) and then right clicking the drive and click "mount imge". Then go to the ISO's location and select it. Now the ISO is mounted just like a DVD is in the drive so install it from there.

Select "securom" in the drop down menu for a game.

with alcohol or deamon tools the whole point is u dont need to burn the cd.
it make ure comp think it has another cd/dvd drive and that the iso is the disk inside it. :)

there are loads of guides and its really very simple when u get the hang of it.
plus if u find the knowhow for ureself u will feel better lol
or u can look here if u want a guide for daemontools but try with alcohol first and if u really cant figure it then have a go with this

where does the file mount to?
Auggie2k
August 8th, 2005, 10:51 AM
The file stays in the same place as normal. When you open the virtual drive, your opening the ISO image except Alcohol makes the computer think it's a real CD drive.

u use the virtual drive to mount the iso (the file (maybe a winrar file) and it should then be in ure"my computer" as a cd

So it is mounted, and running but just isn't working. I'm sorry to say but SS was right in guessing that the file is corrupt. Best bet is to download the file again, this time from a different source. I hope the file wasn't too big and time consuming?

it is mounting but not running, it won't let me install it....i am going to try with nero one more time and if it don't work i ain't gonna mess with it.,....what kind of cd do i need to do it as... bootable or data... or just burn image to disc??? and i would put the whole winrar file in it or the extracted files??

Instead of double clicking the virtual drive to open the autorun, open the CD drive and find the setup.exe file or the main .exe file.

August 8th, 2005, 02:08 PM
ok ya know what? either figure it out (i promise using daemon tools is a breeze) or fork out the $50. if you're too dumb to get it, pay for the legal version...that way you pop in the cd and play the game, that easy.
DigitalJunkie
August 8th, 2005, 02:18 PM
To find NoCD crack, you should check to see there is a NFO file that came with it or not, open NFO file with Notepad to see any installation instructions with it. Usually, it will have a crack directory on the CD to use.
If there is no NFO file or crack directory with the crack, then you'll have to search for it on the net. Good luck!

Most often the nocd cracks are on the ISO already, if it's a proper BT game release. The likes of GTA and NFSU2 and so on all have them. They're usually in a designated folder on the main folder of the ISO, under the name "crack" or the name of the supplier like "pantheon" or "hoodlum".
