Ok. I just got DSL. It won't let me DL anything, I mean, I can DL some songs, but 99.9% of the time I can't. I never had this issue with Dial-Up. I looked on your site, edited my firewall, because I have SBC Yahoo DSL and made WINMX an exception and all that s***. Ok. It still won't let me DL. My problem is, I get a lot of songs, but when I go to download them, they sit there, and after about 2 minutes, they turn red. They don't even start downloading. If there is any way I can fix this, PLEASE let me know. My AIM is TeddyGrahmMan89 I would like it better if you IMed me if you have AIM. If not, just post a reply on here and I will check later. Thank you VERY much.

First, I'd try another p2p program - if that works, it's probably just an issue with WinMX. Otherwise, it's gotta be something else. Also, post your operating system, specs, and the firewall you're using

If you're trying to download any currently "popular" songs, its not gonna happen off the WinMX network. I resort to the OpenNap networks for those. Lemme know what kind of firewall you have (software, or a router), are you using the default ports for winmx, and what kind of songs you're downloading.

i've been having similar problems, and have actually just given up downloading altogether recently - had other stuff to deal ith anyway.
but with winMX it doesn't seem to even have to be popular to be flooded with rubbish, its gone completely pants.

Any advice?

Go with bittorrent or emule.
