I've posted this same question on the official soulseek forums, though they don't seem as lively as these ones, i was hoping I might get a response here...
recently, soulseek seems to crash randomly, all the time. i can't think of any significant changes i've made configuration wise, certainly nothing at all to soulseek. i've tried reinstalling it, i've tried using the beta version, i've tried reverting back to version 156, i've applied the patch to increase the max connections for XP-SP2, i've put all my music into alphabetical folders, as this was causing problems with indexing apparently, and so on.
the error that comes up most of the time, always seems to mention ntdll.dll - does that mean anything to anyone? has anybody else had problems with this dll before? might it be worth replacing that dll with the same version, or even a newer one (if there is one?).
