I downloaded WinMX just a few days ago and I've noticed that it's extremely slow. There's not much I can do to make downloading from others faster but what about uploads? I'm currently using a 56k connection so there's little I can do to increase speed for others when they download from me right now. In about a week I'll be trying out DSL so when I get up and runing what could I do to cause upload speeds to reach past 5.00 k/s? Is there a way to tweak the options so I can give uploader A 5.0 k/s and uploader B 10.0 k/s as I choose? I hope this is making sense.

You pretty much can't control who get 5/ks or 10k/s, however you can adjust how many open slots if more 56k users than users with high speed connection are downloading from you at that time!

In v3.3, you can right-click on someone who is downloading from you and set the option "bandwidth priority". Tweak this and you can control at which speed users download from you. Of couse, it depends on that user's connection as well as yours. No matter what you do to your upload, a 56k'er will never download from you at 10 kB/sec...
