have trolled theforums and searched using various threads for 2 days and not come up with a similar let a lone a solution, surely to gad i'm not the only person with this problem, you get the usual help me please etc, but without a specific title to the problems its hard to get what you want without reading every single post individually, any way of making people specify at least a glimpse of the problem in the post title to make searches easier?. rant over
ive been using winmx for nearly 3 years with a STEADY 50 TO 60kb per sec download speed from a 512 DSL connection and switched to sharaza cos of the numerous fake filkes that have been flooding in. set everything up as explained on the various forums and wiki's etc, sorted the firewall, macafee security suite plus. downloaded the sp2 fix, configured the router myself as it didnt have anything out there to have an example of and the configuration i did is now on the web site linked from shareaza setup pages, so I assume that I configured it correctly if it is now an example of what you need to do. went thru all the tweeks and hints and tips as per the shareaza site and still my downloads wont go over 25KB per second. first couple of days had up to 60KB and then dropped down to under 10, any one have any specific tweeks with real examples of how to set things up to get back to at least 50KB? some of the tweeks on the shareaza wiki tell you to change number settings in the settings page of shareaza that are either named incorrectly or dont exist, could be a result of having help from the old version mixed with the new build, either way its damned confusing and now close to deleting the bugger and switching back to winmx just as i'm getting used to using torrents
