Just my two cents. I have always been a thrasher, with my favorite bands being Tool, Metallica, Slayer but there is one band that has always touched my soul. And when I saw Pink Floyd re-united for live-eight it sent shivers down my spine. In all my life I have never known another band that is in the same class and it makes me depressed that everything that has come after them has been in some way less. Of all the shows of all the bands that performed today not one matched the anticipation and excitement of Pink Floyd.
Again just my two cents.

My first album I ever bought with my own money was Darkside of The Moon when it first came out in the early 70's. Metallica and Slayer I can occasionaly listen to, as well as Tool. However when it comes to Tools early videos,(not sure about any new ones) I will turn the channel. There is just somehting very disturbing, emotionaly about the stop animation and images they used in there videos. Just to damn creepy for me,and I have seen some nasty crap in my short 48 yrs on this planet. Tool, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

"Dark Side" came out right at the start of my marijuana smoking days. The two things were a beautiful combination. I no longer smoke, but I still love Floyd!!

Pink floyd performances are always grand, but all their albums sound exactly the same =(

Tom cochrane sang live on main street in my town last night,it was great to be able to see one of my favorite musicians playing live(and for free).
I know that had nothing to do with Pink Floyd, I also like them and Metallica.

Was this in Canada? Because I find it hard to believe any other Country in the world would care about Tomas Cochrane. I'm not shocked that it was free. Who would be dumb enough to pay for that audio urine?
