hi.
i m using virtualdub mod to encode a file using xvid 2-pass encoding. now my question is-
do i manually delete the video file which is created during 1st-pass before starting the 2nd-pass, or do i just select the same video file for output for 2nd pass as well(if i do this virtualdub will ask me to overwrite the existing file).
i m asking this coz earliar i used to just overwrite the video file for 2nd pass but i was going through the help files on some sites, which had mentioned in 1st-pass xvid settings, full quality encode should be disabled and "discard first pass" should be enabled.
so i got confused. so wot do i have to do, do i have to select the same avi file for both 1st and 2nd pass encodings or do i have to delete the avi file created during first pass(.pass file will have the details required for 2nd pass encoding) before i start the 2nd pass.
