what is up with winmx development?

does anyone know what is going on with winmx development, it seems to keep getting slower and slower with each release. I believe the last beta 3.54 came out a lil while ago like the end of 2004 (october/november). I keep waiting patiently for the next release to come out but nothing is happening. Just wondering if anyone knows about winmx development right now, thanks in advanced!:drunken_s :icon_cycl

it is said that winmx v. 4 is just around the corner, but what about all the beta versions that are on their beta website http://www.winmx.com/beta ???? No one has any information on version 4 or what features it will have or even when it is due for an alpha or beta release?

I heard it was canceled so they can work on the more advanced version 44.7b which includes features like downloading directly to your brain, which in my opinion is long overdue and of course an updated library. Unfortunately, they have to hire all the remaining employees from Earth Station V as they have 15 million concurrent users just like WinMX. Did I say million I meant billion as version 44.7b will also feature the protocol FTLT or Faster Then Light Travel capable of interstellar file sharing. Unfortunately the queuing problem won't be solved until version 45 due sometime in August 2112.

And yes I am bored.

I have a clue. Their beta website hasn’t been updated since Nov. 4, 2004 and even then it was just for a useless library update. No serious major updates have come to light for 3 years now and their website still says new beta in two weeks just like it did on Nov 4, 2004. I think it’s fair to say development is dead.

I still use it. Its good for certain things. Mostly adult content. And the Dev crue is just one guy. Before the beta tests started it had been about two years since even an update so a whole new program (4.0) is likely to take a very long time. It may happen one day, or not. Until then the 3 series is still very good for porno.
