I use gmail notifier all the time, in fact it's in my startup. It has some handy little features and I never have to enter my login details. One minor niggle thats starting to annoy me though. Is there any way I could set gmail notifier to automatically login for me without me needing to press ok when the window (attachment) appears. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks - Auggie!

well it remembers my password but it is irritating, the thing pops up at startup (along with antivirus update info etc) and I have to hit enter to login. Not bad, but would be useful if it was gone. And if it auto-logged in for firefox as well.

I quit using it and use mailwasher to check both my ISP and Gmail instead. You can set it to auto log on at start-up and check mail at any interval you want.

I just found a great new alternative program to gmail notifier, funnily enough at the gmail forums and it just kicks ass. I use about 5 different emails, hotmail, gmail, pop, college and now I can check them all at once through one little program and the best thing is I never have to log in! It only requires one little serial number but after all this is a file sharing site, and it shouldn't be a problem for anybody!
Product features:
Eliminate the shortcomings of using webmail, POP3 or IMAP email accounts with this email notifier.
Checking for new email is done automatically for you every few minutes, so you don’t have to log in many times each day on your and your family accounts to check for new email.
Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, MSN, POP3 and IMAP support. Most common free email services in the world are supported, the program also supports POP3 and IMAP.
Clean and easy to use user interface. DynAdvance Notifier is probably the most easy to use email notifier on the market. Its clean and easy to use interface underlines the professional look and feel of the program.
Visual and acoustic notification of incoming email. The program shows a notification window and can play a custom sound everytime there is new email.
Message preview. For most types of email accounts the notification window shows you a preview of the new email messages.
Auto-login. For certain types of email accounts (Gmail for example) the product automatically logs you in into the account, eliminating the need to enter the username and password every time.

You could just use the Gmail notifier for Firefox. You just have to enter your username and password once and that's it, every time you open up FF it logs you in.

Thanks, I would use that extension but I dont use firefox. It's ok though, as I said I'm using that dynadvance notifier now, it's much better than the gmail notifier!

Sensible young man.
Why? I personally think firefox is excellent. I would never go back to ie or opera.
