Even though he posted how to improve speeds.. He also posted on how to not announce with trackers and just download from peers and create a leech habit.. Not connecting to lesser peers with less data, but being connected with seeders and downloading from them and only uploading to the ones that have gotten established..

Shawners,
I know that annoyed you, but you need to remember that we cannot just ignore those with genuine privacy concerns. If the VIP members at elitetorrents had followed that guide, the risk that their IPs are now on an FBI hitlist would be a lot lower.
Popular or not, all information in this game is important.

I doubt it, if everyone did what you suggested, no one would have a complete file.. Whats the point in sharing, its just wasnt a security issue.. THe most important thing was to have elite torrent not to post on the home page about star wars III. Its more of getting what you want, in which is why the clients you may like or use or others love to use or now banned from the networks. Its about connecting to the peers and complete sources, and forcing them to share all their bandwidth with others and not allowing yourself to be a seed or allowing others to get a complete copy.
Suppose there is 1 seeder, and 30 peers try to connect to it, hes uploading a 100kbs.. ANd out of those 30 peers, 20 of them are leeching, as well as setting your client to upload to only 5 peers at the max rate your upload bandwidth is.. IF five leechers are connected to you, its not really helping out the others. And this can make your bit torrent speeds slow. . As well as the clients are reporting how much data is being sent that havent dropped from announcing with the tracker, their upload isnt being registered even though they are uploading.. Which they want to be a 1:1 ratio without being in the hole or getting banned from torrentsites.
IF you manage to join a private or invited to a private torrent site that host ZERO day stuff.. People will fight to keep their ratios in good standings.. NOT Limiting their bandwidth, fighting to give as much data back to you and to the tracker so they wont get banned for being leeching. I got fed up with alot of other programs cause it would be a hassle to upload the same popular albums or songs to another and no one giving back or seeding it for others.

You are just quoting nominal fugures. They are as baseless as your fear of leeching.
Look, I can do it as well:
Suppose there is 1 seeder, and 30 peers try to connect to it, hes uploading a 100kbs. The torrent would be slow, but luckily there are another 5 seeds who are not reporting themsleves to the tracker and are only seeding like crazy because they can do so in the knowledge that it is not being recorded by any webmasters. 1 person used the same trick to not upload his fair share.
It is a too important area of discussion to ignore because you dont like it. Should we all pretend DHT doesnt exist as that makes the process easier? Some private trackers you can join without being registered at all! Again though, it is not about leeching, it is about privacy from big brother tracker owners.

Well if your concerned about privacy, you have no place in the file sharing world. Simple as that. IF you want to use DHT, go for it, dont do it on a private or public tracker and then complain about speeds. You open up your network connections for this on your own.

Sure there are some other privacy issues, but nothing as serious as one webmaster knowing everything about each sharer.
It's like the way people put up with some loss of privacy through CCTV in shops. But the point they start to retina scan everyone, recording every shop they go into and exactly what they buy is the point I would start a discussion on how to avoid the security mesures. I'm sure that there would be people blaming me for creating shoplifters too.
It also isnt against the law to shop, making it even more important than that to stay off records made by private tracker sites.

5.0 Common BitTorrent problems
This section covers other problems which BT users may be suffering from.
5.1 Client or program freezing
Symptoms: Torrent starts well, achieving good speeds. Speed then falls to zero. This is followed by the client freezing, computer freezing and/or loss of internet connection.
Solutions:
1) This is a common problem with ZoneAlarm 5. Switching it off may not solve the problem. It is recommended that users switch back to version 4.5.
2) Norton Anti-virus sometimes tries to scan the chunks which make up the files you are downloading. Get yourself a decent anti-virus program!
I have this exact problem (which results in loss of internet connection), yet I don't have either of these 2 programs installed.
If you still need to ask, please:
-> Say clearly what the problem is Internet connection dies
-> Say what client you are using ABC, latest version 3.0.1b
-> Say whether you are on SP1 or 2 SP2
-> The exact setup of your network/ how your computer is connected to the net just a cable modem
-> All the software you are running No Norton or Firewalls, I run peer guardian
-> What you have done so far to try and resolve the problem Checked the guide, limited users to 60 like it said
