It seems everyone is able to download larger files but me. I tried to set up ABC and my router to download but no luck so far. I read whatever I found about port-forwarding and router configuration. I have a WRT54G router and I know how to access the settings. I set up the port forward for ABC with the preferred port range but still, no dice. Other people are downloading without a router it seems so it's frustrating that I can't get it to work! Can anyone advise? I have to share the network with another computer so I prefer to solve the problem with the router.

A few times, a download would start but the torrent would take forever to even initiate. Then, it would be too slow with indication ETAs being weeks or days.

Something has to be wrong, still!

Anyone there willing to take some time to suggest something and advise me? :icon_scra

By any chance do either of your PCs have two ethernet ports? I had the same problem with my router. This PC luckily has 2 ethernet ports, so I used one for the connection to the net, and the other to connect to the other PC. I then bridged the connections via windows, and now both PCs have seperate PPPoE connections (which is pretty nice).

Are you sure the files you're trying to download have seeders?

If you are using ABC, what color is the file text in the ABC window?

Yeah, it has dual ethernet. But, I switched ISPs. When I tried to use the same ethernet port, the new ISP would not work and I couldn't get the internet. When I merely unplugged it and put the cable in the other port, clicked 'connect' and then I was up and running. I don't understand that but I guess it has to do with the "old" settings still being there (for the first port/ethernet port)?

I forgot to mention, besides the 'freeze' and crazy ETA data, I also received several msgs to do with 'trackers.' I'd check the 'details' of the download and tab over to where it gives 'tracker' info. I'd always get some sort of tracker error or 'problem connecting to tracker.' So annoying! :-(
