Take-Two Interactive Software's publishing label Rockstar Games issued a press release today announcing the official North American retail debut of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the Xbox and PC, with the European release date scheduled for June 10th. As usual, the underground "scene" beat the official release, and at the time of the press announcement, copies of GTA: San Andreas had already appeared in all the usual places: newsgroups, IRC, ED2K, BitTorrent, and are slowly working their way through the other P2P networks. As with any major digital file release -- whether it's a blockbuster movie, music album, or game -- there will no doubt be a liberal dose of fake files spewed out by the usual suspects onto the P2P networks in an attempt to frustrate the novice downloader. The scene release group HOODLUM has put out a cracked copy, (see NFO of the PC version) which has been claimed to run without problems. Another PC release by the group MDETH was an Alcohol image. As in most fresh releases, these ones should be considered the early rush-jobs, with all the game groups frantically competing to claim bragging rights for getting theirs out first. Better quality and less problematic versions are almost sure to soon follow in the next day or two. Visit P2P Core for the Torrent file and/or Edonkey Hash Link

Go to bitTorrent. It's the most simple and fastest way to get it.

I remember when they came out with 1 gig Hard drives people nearly shit themselves.

I remember saying to my friend "what the hell would you need all that space for, no way you will ever use all of it."

Ya I remember with my old 486 computer, had a 300MB hard drive in it. At the time I thought that was sufficient...now you can't even run a decent computer with that...convert it into a digital typewritter ;)

Just got the 8GB, gonna install and leave reality :D

Ya burning with nero would work, it's a simple iso...I'm mounting it first before I burn it...

Go to http://thepiratebay.org/ and search for "Grand Theft Auto San Andreas". ZeroPaid lists Pirate Bay in their Bittorent links section. I recommend installing the SafePeer plugin if using Azureus or using PeerGuardian otherwise - there's a LOT of bogus files being put into the mix!
