aMule is a peer-to-peer file sharing application that works with the eDonkey computer network, but offers more features than the standard eDonkey client. It is a fork of the xMule sourcecode, which itself is a fork of the lMule project, which was the first attempt to bring the eMule client to Linux. It is now the Linux client on the eMule links section on their webpage. Like eMule, aMule is Free software released under the GNU General Public License.

aMule is still one of my favorite p2p apps - sure, the ed2k is slow, but it's got pretty much anything I can think of

And, as for the Windows version, I'm not sure, but I figure it'll be pretty soon. You can always get eMule - it has all the features of aMule and then some, and it's natively designed for Windows

amule is avaible for windows. Just take a look at their site. I installed it, but since it's my first client that I've used that connects to that network I can't really make a comparison. It seems to function ok.
