Im not really sure if this is the place to be posting this srry n00b to this forum but it is related to file sharing sorta. I downloaded some movies and i have the correct player to play them they play mabe 6 seconds then it makes a wierd high pitched noise and it skips further into the movie and then back to where it started and it continues to do this. Im wondering if the file might be corrupt or what but im stumpped and I really wanna watch these. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
shift

Which player are you using?
Which codecs (or codec packs?) do you have installed?
Does this happen with movies from different torrents?

im using video lan center to play this file and it came with the codecs for it. Im not sure what their called but the file type is OGM and so far this is the only torrent ive found that either works or has english audio instead of subtitles.

one thing i realized just now that may be a cause is i didnt fully let the torrent finish. it got to about 31% then i stopped it to start watching one of the movies as it was downloading the rest. Do you think this could be a problem?

Very probably.
Let it finish :-)
(Bittorrent doesn't necessarily grab the movie "in order"...so it's not very practical to preview it before it's finished)

Yeah sometimes even when Azerus (I really should learn how to spell it) says that all the parts to one file in the torrent are complete, they aren't actually all there so I leave it until the whole torrent finishes
